Terms of Use

Last updated: [add date before publishing]. This is a starting template, not finished legal copy — see the review note at the bottom of this page.

1. The service

Depth2Beam ("the service") is a browser-based tool for generating relief and depth-map images for laser engraving. Some engines process images locally in your browser; others (AI Depth and the Relief Generator) send data to third-party cloud AI providers to generate results, as described on the Why Credits page.

2. Your content

You retain ownership of any image you upload and of the depth maps, reliefs, and export files the service generates for you. You're responsible for having the right to use any image you upload, and for how you use the exported files.

3. AI credits

AI Depth and Relief Generator features draw from an AI credit allowance. Credits are consumed per generation as described in the app and on the Why Credits page. [Add specifics here: how credits are obtained/purchased, whether they expire, and refund policy, if any.]

4. No warranty

The service is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. Depth-map and relief output, including AI-generated output, may not always be accurate, aesthetically suitable, or free of artifacts, and should be reviewed before use in a physical engraving job.

5. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Depth2Beam is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service, including damage to materials, equipment, or workpieces resulting from an engraving job based on the service's output.

6. Changes

These terms may be updated from time to time; continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

7. Contact
